Summary

The former Lamb Row consisted of two buildings at the northern end of Lower Bridge Street (formerly No 2-4) now only known from pictographic sources were demolished to make way for the new Grosvenor Street in the late 19th century. An etching by Cuitt from 1814 depicted a late 15th century half timbered structure that had previously partially collapsed earlier in the 19th century.

Full Description

The former Lamb Row consisted of two buildings at the northern end of Lower Bridge Street (formerly No 2-4) now only known from pictographic sources were demolished to make way for the new Grosvenor Street in the late 19th century. An etching by Cuitt from 1814 depicted a late 15th century half timbered structure that had previously partially collapsed earlier in the 19th century. (1)

Lamb Row had recently collapsed at the time of the construction of Grosvenor Street and rebuilding had begun. (2)
