Full Description
Archaeological investigations as part of a major redevelopment of the Hunter Street/Princess Street area identified several phases of medieval and later activity.
Archaeological investigations at Hunter Street School in 1981 identified traces of an 18th century building in trench 7 of the excavations. The evidence consisted of several walls [W5 & W6] of several courses of brickwork above a rubble sandstone foundation. (1)
