Full Description
No 40-44 Eastgate Street consists of three stone undercrofts, sitting behind a early 20th century Vernacular Revival street frontage. In the absence of any earlier fabric, they were surveyed as one during the Chester Rows Research Project.
The undercroft level facade consists of three properties that are largely hidden below ground due to the disparity between interior floor level and the street level. Only one of these properties (No 44) is currently accessible from the street. The interior is modern. (1)
