Full Description
No 27 Eastgate Street is a late 18th or 19th century undercroft, currently in use as a shop, rebuilt on the site of an earlier undercroft. At street level, two free standing 19th century cast iron columns with moulded bases and capitals of 13th century style stand in front of the shop front. The interior is entirely covered and inpection was impossible during the Chester Rows Research Project. (1)
