Full Description
No 9 Watergate Street is a stone undercroft, currently in use as a shop, and built sometime between the late 13th century to mid 17th century. The Row level building was largely rebuilt in 1862 following the demolition of the original structure.
The shop front at street level is modern with concrete steps to the Row above. The west part wall is late 13th century in date and constructed of sandstone blocks, the east party wall is also sandstone with 17th century beams. A modern brick extension is 18th to 19th century in date. (1)
