Full Description
Unstratified, Roman pottery, including an amphorae rim and a sherd of Cheshire orange ware flanged bowl was recovered during a watching brief on Foregate St., east of Love St. between 2009 and 2012 (1). The investigations were carried out during the installation of gas pipelines and involved a large number of trenches across the city. The material was recovered from Trench 179 (1).
