A complex series of archaeological features were encountered during archaeological investigations in front of the Odeon Cinema on Northgate Street in 2012. The evidence consisted of a rectangular pit of probable post medieval date sealed by modern structural deposits including the brick and sandstone walls of a 19th century cellar.

A complex series of archaeological features were encountered during archaeological investigations in front of the Odeon Cinema on Northgate Street in 2012. The evidence consisted of a rectangular pit [context 1168] of probable post medieval date sealed by modern structural deposits including the brick and sandstone walls of a 19th century cellar. (1)
