Full Description
Archaeological investigations to the east of Bridge Street identified a series of post medieval features. The investigations were carried out during the installation of gas pipelines and involved a large number of trenches across the city. In trench 145 of the investigations three distinct layers of post medieval overburden [contexts 1103; 1104 and 1120] were identified overlying at least four small pits or post holes of probable post medieval date [contexts 1105; 1107; 1108].
