Full Description
Archaeological investigations consisting two phases of activity within the Eastgate Street Row identified traces of a post medieval former Row surface.
The evidence consisted of a surface [context 33] of poorly made rough bricks recorded only in section at the edge of the excavation. The surface was dated to the late 17th to mid 18th century and likely forms a former surface of the Row. (1).
