Full Description
Archaeological investigations to the rear of Volunteer Street in 2002 recorded the demolition and foundations of an existing outrigger to the rear of No 7 Volunteer Street. The outrigger had been constructed along with No 7 in the late 19th century to form a terrace of seven houses with attached outriggers. Following the demolition of the outrigger the foundations were excavated with only post medieval soils recorded underneath. (1)
