Summary

Archaeological investigations carried out on the south side of Cuppin Street by S Ward in 1986 recorded extensive evidence of activity from the medieval and post medieval periods. At some point in the later post medieval period, the property was divided and two 18th century brick built houses were constructed. These remained in use until their demolition as part of the 1986 redevelopment of the site. The medieval cellar underlying them also remained in use.

Archaeological investigations carried out on the south side of Cuppin Street by S Ward in 1986 recorded extensive evidence of activity from the medieval and post medieval periods.

At some point in the later post medieval period, the property was divided and two 18th century brick built houses were constructed. These remained in use until their demolition as part of the 1986 redevelopment of the site. The medieval cellar underlying them also remained in use. (3)
