Full Description
A small quantity of post medieval material was recovered during archaeological investigations at St Martin’s Way on the site of the former bowling green. Although the finds were primarily 18th to 19th century a single fragment of 16th century brown glazed ware was also encountered. The evidence suggests the area remained undeveloped throughout the medieval and post medieval period with a build up of deposits covering the Roman archaeology. (1)
