Full Description

A Roman Catholic Chapel was built to the west of Queen Street in 1799 on a substantial plot over 270m in length (2). The Chapel incorporated and infant school and boys & girls school to the rear of the chapel and a graveyard at the very western end of the plot. By the 1960s the plot had been converted to solely educational use and the 19th century chapel demolished. The school was demolished in the later 20th century.

The church was described as a plain structure in the Classical style of stuccoed brick with a Doric portico. When a new chapel was built on Grosvenor Park Road in 1875, the site was given over entirely to the school and a new structure built in place of the chapel (2)
