Full Description

Catholic Church of St Francis built on Grosvenor Road in 1863 by J O’Bryne and still in use as a church today. It was included in English Heritage’s Listed Buildings Register in 1998. As the second Catholic chapel in the city it was built to accommodate the growing numbers of Irish Catholic immigrants that had outgrown the Queen Street chapel (CHER 10049). (2)
