Summary

Park Street linked Duke Street to Pepper Street running parallel to the eastern City Wall. It is first mentioned in the late 14th century however it was rarely referred to by a name and rather as a ‘lane leading out of Pepper Street towards Clayton lane’. It was first mentioned by name in the 18th century apparently after a substantial garden now occupied by the Albion Street area.

Park Street linked Duke Street (CHER 10020) to Pepper Street (CHER 10022) running parallel to the eastern City Wall. It is first mentioned in the late 14th century however it was rarely referred to by a name and rather as a ‘lane leading out of Pepper Street towards Clayton lane’.
