Summary

In the late fourth century a build up of soil and discarded rubbish was recorded overlying the surfaces of the northern courtyard. The rubbish included large quantities of animal bone indicating a prolonged period of dumping or organic waste.

Full Description

In the late fourth century an accumulation of soil and discarded rubbish was recorded overlying the surfaces of the northern large courtyard identified at Hunter Street (CHER 8403). The rubbish included large quantities of animal bone indicating a prolonged period of dumping or organic waste although the buildings to the south apparently remained in use. (1)
