Full Description
Archaeological observations carried out during the refurbishment works at the Pepper Street entrance of the Grosvenor Centre encountered traces of a Roman structure tentatively interpreted as a Roman rampart building. The evidence comprised a small pit, possibly a post pit that was later reused as a refuse pit, a possible hearth and several layers associated with a structure nearby. (1)
