Full Description
During the 1948-49 excavations at Goss Street, the opportunity was taken to explore the possible south front of the headquarters building on Watergate Street involved the excavation of a trench to the rear of No 10 Watergate Street Row.
Traces of several rock cut pits were recorded underlying the Roman pavement attributed to the headquarters, however, they were not examined in any detail. (1)
