Full Description
Discovery of a late Iron Age to early Roman artefact from the construction cut for the Roman terrace indicating an early date. The artefact is a copper alloy finial described as a 'zoomorphic terminal' decorated in the 'Celtic style' in the form of a bulbous eyed beast. It is a unique design that so far has no parallel (1)
