Summary

A small quantity of Roman tile and pottery were recovered during limited archaeological investigations at King Charles' Tower in 2010. The finds were recovered from the post medieval floor of the tower.

Full Description

A small quantity of residual Roman pottery and tile were recovered from an archaeological test pit cut into the tower itself (1) with a further assemblage of Roman tile from the walkway past the tower. (2).
