Full Description
Small quantity of Roman material was recovered during archaeological investigations on the site of the Roman Fortress Baths in 1998. Finds included Roman ceramic building material (tegulae, imbrices, tubuli) as well as several sherds of locally produced pottery from the fill of a possible Roman pit (1)
Although the evidence is slight, it is possible that the building material represents a demolition layer from the fortress bath complex (CHER 8156).
