Full Description
During training excavations win the western part of Grosvenor Park in 2007 - 2008, near to part of a cobbled roadway (CHER 8255), were a group of features indicative of domestic occupation in this area (1). These features consisted of part of an earth floor to the north of the road, and a north - south aligned gully that may represent the position of an external timber wall of a building (1).
Beyond the gully was another area of cobbling. The finds associated with these features included roof tile, flue tile, and floor tile, and the pottery dated to between the first and third centuries (1).
