Full Description
Excavation on site of the old Drill Hall, Duke St., when it was converted to residential accommodation in 1980. Following a second century phase of pits and features (CHER 8099), the site was filled with demolition material, and finds from this phase indicate that there were substantial structures in the vicinity. The recovered finds indicate that occupation in the area continued throughout and until the end of fourth century at least (1).
