Full Description
Roman lead weight. Found in April 1958, whilst gardening & subsequently presented to the Grosvenor Museum by Mr H E Higginson. On one face it has 2 deeply punched digits indicating a nominal value of 2 unciae & on the other a less deeply punched letter H. It weighs 821.5 grains, a deficiency of 2.6% on the basis of 2 unciae (1).
