Summary

A farmstead which incorporates elements of a probable late seventeenth century timber framed house. The house appears to have been modified and enlarged in the early to mid nineteenth century. The surviving farm building may also date from this period. The origin of the name, Pump House, is unknown, but the house and farm is mentioned in a number of eighteenth century documents.

This map depicts the house with a building to the east-south-east. A smaller building is located to the east, a possible pigsty, and a smaller building to the south. A pump is depicted to the immediate north-west of the house. The plot to the immediate south-west is depicted as an orchard. Labelled Pump House.
