‘…this must be one of the most disappointing churches Pearson ever designed…it lacks its projected S tower, but even so the brick is dull to look at…The interior is exposed brick too, and more satisfying. The nave has no aisles. The style is course thirteenth century, and…was built in 1896-7…’
