Brick built farmhouse, possibly late eighteenth century or early nineteenth century in date. The southern elevation has an inset window surmounted by a brick arch which is flush to the exterior of the wall. This window appears to be at the level of the attic and is similar to the feature described in (2) as a doorway. Both gable ends incorporate a chimney. The house has a symmetrical front with four windows (two per storey) either side of a central door and associated projecting porch. The windows appear to have stone lintels and each have six lights arranged three by two. The roof is of slate.

The adjacent farm building comprises an ashlar sandstone range with circular pitching holes located on the southern elevation (the northern elevation is not visible). Possibly the stables depicted on Bryant’s map (4) and from which the lane takes it's name. This building adjoins at its western end a brick built range, orientated at ninety degrees. Both buildings are slate roofed and are adjoined by modern farm buildings.
