Full Description
<1> Stroud Nullis Partnership, 1991, Bridge Trafford Hall, Bridge Trafford, Nr Chester, Cheshire: Feasability Study, R3247 (Client Report). SCH6599.
The buildings formed a square orientated north east to south west with a rectangular central courtyard. The house was of a much more recent date than the farm buildings and may have been built as recently as 1914. It was a symetrical Georgian style brick house comprising a substantial 3 storey centre with two equal sized wings of two storeys. There was a substantial detached brick barn with a hipped slate roof to the south east of the courtyard. It probably dated from the early nineteenth century. The range on the north eastern side of the courtyard was a narrower building. The original barn probably dated from the mid nineteenth century and connected to the north western range by a roofed and arched access. The north western range was not as well built as the other buildings and may date from the early twentieth century.

The hall, north eastern and north western ranges and the detached barn are depicted. The north western range has a number of structures attached to its north western side and the range appears to adjoin the hall or its service range. These buildings, along with a few more structures form a small courtyard with a water pump. There are gardens and orchards laid out to the south west of the hall.

The north eastern and north western ranges and the detached barn are depicted. The hall lies on the south western side of the courtyard, but doesn't entirely enclose it on this side. A possible service range adjoins the hall on its north western side. Two small structures straddle the adjacent stream course.
