Full Description
Bronze coin of Titus under Vespasian. T CAES IMP AUG F TRP COS (VICENSOR. Rev: IUDAEA) CAPITA SC. Mint of Lugdum 77-78 AD. See RIC II p.784. The coin was found by Mr T Box, 6 Duke Street, Chester, while digging in a field in Kingswood Lane. Other information from Mr Box suggests that the soil in which the coin was found came from the Central Redevelopment Area, Chester. Coin now in the Grosvenor Museum (1). Grid ref centered to Kingswood Lane.
