Summary

Archaeological investigations at the former Grey Friars Court (now called Callin Court) between 1976 and 1982 recorded evidence of Roman activity in the area. Probable Roman well or cistern recorded during archaeological investigation at Callin Court. The well survived into the medieval period when the stone was re-used for the medieval friary.
