Full Description
<1> Huntings Surveys Ltd, 1971-1973, 1971-1973 County Survey, Run 21, no.1528 (Aerial Photograph). SCH4881.
A possible sub-oval cropmark defining an enclosed area of c.40 metres by thirty metres. Some suggestion of internal features.
<2> Various, Various, Oral communication to the HER, Edwards R, 20/07/2021 (Oral Communication). SCH2330.
The location of this possible enclosure within the former wetland of Willey Moor would suggest a later date for this feature, possibly seventeenth or eighteenth century, though a more recent agricultural origin cannot be excluded.
