Arts and Crafts’ villa of the early years of the twentieth century, designed by Frank Mee of Manchester. Brick and roughcast under a Kerridge stone slate roof. (1)

Built 1899 , architect FW Mee. Large imposing house but with elements of cottage design begninning to appear. Pale red brick ground floor set off by a white roughcast upper storey with some timbering and a long stone roof. Long sets of windows with leaded lights……In 1922 a ballroom was added with spung floor and a cellar bar. Stable building with a Mackintosh-like wooden lantern made into a separate dwelling in 1997.
