Full Description
Roman coin. Republocan denarius, moneyer Marius Cordius Rufus at Rome c.46 BC. Obv:- (RUFUS III VIR) heads of the Dioscuri right, each surmounted by a star. Rev:-(MV CORDI(US) Venus Verticordia standing left with scales and vertical sceptre. Cupid behind her. See Sydenham - Coinage of the Roman Republic as no.976 p.162, weight 3.17gm. Found and reported by Michael Winsor, Ashton (1).
