Summary
The upper stone of a rotary quern which may be medieval. It was found in the 1950's on the north bank of the river Gowy. It appears that the quern stone was reused to strengthen the back at some point. Quern stones are hand mills, used to grind grain

Full Description
Upper stone of a rotary quern. Possibly medieval. Found on the N bank of the river Gowy. It appeared that the bank had been strengthened sometime at this point & that the stone had been used with others for this purpose (1).
