Village/ Town: Alsager
The Firs
79 Sandbach Road North
ST7 2AP
Representative of a transitional style of building in the early years of Victoria’s reign, this square plan house combines a plain Georgian form with typical mid-century hornless leaded sash windows. The walls are Flemish bonded red brick, sills and lintels are painted stone. The hipped roof is of slate. The ornate cast iron veranda is probably a mid Victorian addition. (1)
