Built in 1889, this highly detailed brick building has a strong presence on the high street of Alsager. The brick is hard, laid in Flemish bond, and makes extensive use of architectural terracotta in bands and on pediments and pilasters. The roof is blue tile with a decorative terracotta ridge. It retains its unusual original sash windows. The white porch is a modern addition.
