Date: 1907
Description
Red Ruabon brick with green Westmorland pitched slat roofs, parapeted gables capped with (Bath?) yellow stone, dentil course to underside of parapets and string courses.
Central portion capped with windowed drum in a debased “Byzantine” manner, florid stone decoration to drum and window surrounds.
Main door surrounded by classical portico with the words “Neston Free Library” in relief in the spandrel.
Truncated Ionic capped columns on brick plinths to each side of doorway.
Modern octagonal extension to rear.
Condition
Good.
Current use
In use as library.
