Description
A simple classical (Tuscan) portico simplified to the point of minimalism, no columns, wide spreading eaves and plain pediment, all painted white stucco, possibly based on the Covent Garden Church of St Paul by Inigo Jones (built 1630) which was described as “dignity by the simplest means.”*
Interior of no special interest, 5 rows of simple pews with enamel end plaques, modern rooms installed at entrance end in 1970s.
Sash windows to each side are replacements following bomb damage in early 1940s (World War II). Original casement windows with rounded design in oblong frames to front and one to each side.
Condition
Good.
Current use
In use as United Reform Church.
