Summary

Corner Cottages 5 & 6 Rear of The Green Willaston These semi detached cottages date to 1736 and are built of coursed semi-dressed sandstone blocks, poorly repointed with hard cement mortar. The slate roof has a shallow pitch, there is a central chimney and stone capped parapets to the end gables. There are dressed sandstone lintels and sills to the small pane casement windows but these are modern replica replacements and the front doors to both cottages are modern. These now form a single dwelling with cottage number 4.
