Description
Hipped roof of Westmorland green slate facing the corner, stone capped parapets at each end at right angles to King Street and to Station Road.
Classical entablature above stone band, that formerly carried name of bank (now “The Camping Shop”). Romanesque stone surrounds to window heads with elaborate keystones. High single storey windows to former banking hall, stone sills. Splay corner to road junction. Full height stone pedimented doorway with stone doorcases (door removed, now a modern window).
Main elevation material: red Cheshire brick with simple moulded decoration to pilasters between windows.
Condition
Fair.
Current Use
Currently vacant – in process of being converted. Planning Permission granted on 26/7/06 for conversion into 6 apartments with two storey rear extension, rear dormer window and associated works.
