Description
Pitched slate roofs with sandstone chimneys and sandstone copies to end gables. Originally 2 pane vertical sliding sash windows. 4 remain, others replaced by various modern casements. Flush sandstone lintels and projecting sandstone sills to windows. Front doors are various modern replacements. Walls, evenly coursed Ashlar block local sandstone, perhaps from nearby railway cutting.
Front garden wall to corner of Berwick Road of random sandstone blocks with traditional triangular shaped copings, may be earlier than cottages.
Front wall red brick with sandstone copings.
Condition
Good.
Current use
Occupied, domestic dwellings. 2 blocks of 4.
