Full Description
Roman lead weight found c.1962 in the garden of Estyn Cottage, Broomhill, Great Barrow, by Mr F Roberts. Presented by him to Grosvenor museum in 1968. The weight is deeply incised with 'III' & lightly incised with 'HC' below & is 110-46 grammes in weight. The date is prior to 296 AD (1).
