An early Post-Medieval copper alloy dress hook with a white metal coating (1500-1600 AD). The plate is oval in plan and flat. The outer edges of the object have been damaged however the remains of two side lugs can be seen. The base of the object tapers to a rounded projection. The hook has broken away from the base of the object. The upper surface is decorated with a floral design. This is enclosed by a sub-oval groove which boarders the object. The object has a mid-green patina. The object conforms to Read's early Post-Medieval Class A, Type 2. Similar examples can be found in (2).

<3> Portable Antiquities Scheme, Various, Portable Antiquities Data Import, LVPL-CF5502 (Digital Archive). SCH5212.

Cast copper alloy strap mount probably dating to the Post-Medieval period. The object consists of a central lozenge with two rectangular strips projecting to each side. These have been bent backwards to form an integral attachment. In the centre of the lozenge is a face with large circular ears, pellet eyes and a smiling mouth. This is enclosed by a lozenge shaped pellet boarder. There is further decoration on the outer edge of the lozenge however it is unclear due to damage. Each rectangular side projection is decorated with three vertical ridges. The reverse of the object is undecorated. Traces of gilding remain on both the outer surface and on the reverse of the object. It has a light brownish patina.

The internal fabric of the object is a light dusty white while the outer surface has been coated in a white metal. The object is in poor condition and probably dates to the Post-Medieval period.
