Cast bronze incomplete harness fitting. It is formed of two half U-sectioned rings, with the curve being on the inside edge and one half-ring being placed underneath the other but turned through 90 degrees, so that the line of the curve of the second half-ring runs lengthways back-to-back to the widthways curve of the first half-ring. The four resultant corners, one of which is missing, are also U-shaped in section between the edges of the two half-rings. The surface is highly polished, smooth and shiny. It is dark green in colour. The three surviving corners are damaged and a lighter green in colour. They are quite rough and linear striations can be seen within the grooves.
The object measures 29.47mm in length, 28.10mm in width and weighs 29.8g. It is 7.10mm thick.
Although uncertain of its exact function, it could be a mechanism for using two ropes/ reins which run in different directions.
