Summary
A Barbarous Radiate coin dating from c. 275-85. its a copy of a Radiate of Antonnianus (a type of coin issued during the Roman Empire, which are so named due to their crude style and prominent radiate crown worn by the emperor). Coins such as this are generally not considered to be forgeries. They were probably created to serve as small change during the Roman Empire's 'third century crisis' which saw the split into smaller competing states.

A Barbarous Radiate coin dating from c. 275-85. its a copy of a Radiate of Antonnianus. Found by metal detector on the 1st May 2009 (1).
