Full Description
Sparse mesolithic flint scatter located near footpath in ploughed field by river Dee. Collected March 1989 and April 1990. 6 struck flakes including a core rejuvenation flake. poor quality flint and black chert. All waste material, none retouched (1). Further mesolithic material found in 1997. Total of 54 pieces, mostly small blades, flakes or cores of mixed flint and chert, very few exhibiting retouch. Finds with Cheshire Museums Services (2).
