Full Description
Cast copper alloy 15th century pouring spout in the form of a dog's head. The dog’s head is tubular and oval in cross-section. The dog's head is angular and robust. It has large sub-rectangular ears that project above the side of the head. The back of the spout, where it would have been attached to a vessel, is curved and has a large sub-oval opening that narrows to become the circular opening in the mouth. It has a dark black patina (1).
