<1> Portable Antiquities Scheme, Various, Portable Antiquities Data Import, DEV-F3F053 (Digital Archive). SCH5212.
A silver penny of Edward I or Edward II. The obverse has the crowned bust facing forward. On the reverse is a long cross with three pellets in each angle.
<2> Portable Antiquities Scheme, Various, Portable Antiquities Data Import, DEV-175AA2 (Digital Archive). SCH5212.
This silver coin is possibly of Henry III (1216 - 1272 AD). The coin appears to be the same on both sides. It is unusual in that only a quarter of the long cross appears on the coin. It is just possible to make out the lettering [HE]NRICUS REX, but the rest of the lettering is illegible. It is possible that this coin is a contemporary fake.
