<1> Portable Antiquities Scheme, Various, Portable Antiquities Data Import, DEV-F2A0D6 (Digital Archive). SCH5212.

Post medieval silver coin. The coin is a silver halfgroat of James I (1603- 1625). On the obverse of the coin is a rose with a large crown above, the reverse has a thistle with a large crown above. The coin has been slightly clipped around the edges; the mintmark is not clear, but it is probably a rose, which would date the coin to being minted in the years 1605- 6 or 1623-4 AD. The petals on the obverse rose are in the later style, so the coin can be dated to 1623- 1624 AD.

Post medieval silver coin. The coin is a halfgroat of Charles I (1625 - 1649 AD). The coin has been heavily clipped around the edges, and a section of it has been cut off. The obverse is worn. On the reverse, it is just possible to make out part of part of the oval shield.

Post medieval silver hammered coin. The coin is a groat of Elizabeth I. Obverse: bust facing left, without rose or date. Reverse: square shield on long cross fourchee. The initial mark is cross crosslet, which denotes that the coin was minted in 1560 -1561 AD
