Lead bird, Post-Medieval in date, probably a toy. It is standing and facing right, just on one leg. It has features picked out on both sides but one side is more detailed. It has a short beak and a slightly pointed head which could suggest a crest of some sort. There is a sub-circular hole in the body of the bird, just above the leg. The base of the leg widens before it breaks off, it is possible it was set into a base of some sort. It is similar, but less detailed than LVPL-555B72. Geoff Egan saw that item and said 'It is possible that it is part of the series of 'shy' toys, like a shy cock, set up to be knocked down by having sticks thrown at it'. This example could well have been from this type of toy, with the base having broken off
